SANT ELIA’s Stephanie Caltabiano Cherrington set out to create a bespoke couture concept of vintage inspired designs, interlaced with today’s modern-glam. Intricate detail and a touch of cheekiness are hallmarks of Sant Elia’s approach to creating a unique and fashion-forward bridal look. Named for Monte Sant’Elia in Calabria, Italy, Sant Elia depicts a European undercurrent reflective of Cherrington’s own family traditions.

Our Bridal Service focuses on providing a personalised design for every client, to create custom gowns that our clients love. All of our dresses are made in our Sydney studio by our skilled team and are designed and fitted specifically to the person it is created for. We try to accommodate as wide of a variety of budgets as possible. We get to create elaborate pieces that are loved and cherished by clients, as well as helping to colour in the memory of the most significant moments of their lives. I love to contour the body using a mix of laces and textures.” Stephanie x

About Stephanie, our Designer/Director

Since establishing SANT ELIA in December 2014, Stephanie’s drive is to create gowns that celebrate the personalities and tastes of clients, as well as expressing the SANT ELIA aesthetic that she has always dreamed of pursuing.
‘The highlight of my couture career is that I get to create elaborate pieces that are loved and cherished by my clients, as well as helping to colour in the memory of the most significant moments of their lives. I love to contour the body using a mix of laces and textures. The best results happen when I drape fabrics directly on my clients and work with them to enhance their own unique shape in a most beautiful and personal process.

After graduating with First-Class Honours in her Bachelor of Design in Fashion at University of Technology Sydney, Creative Director Stephanie Caltabiano Cherrington has had a varied career designing for a range of companies from high-end to fast-fashion.
