When our Creative Director Stephanie announced her engagement, the Sant Elia Team knew her creations would truely encapsulate the ideals of a Sant Elia bride, but in order to do so, her bridal look wouldn't stop at one gown.
Stephanie prides herself on designing gowns that highlight the beauty and personality of each bride that steps into the Sant Elia atelier and this was unequivocally the same when it came to designing her own bridal looks.
Stephanie's ceremony gown celebrates the union of two cultures. The masterful corsetry and silhouette is reminiscent of classic Italian couturiers. The intricate embellished light sage Italian tulle took three months to create by hand and incorporates traditional Eastern/South Asian beading techniques.
The beaded motifs were personally designed by Stephanie featuring messages inspired by the couple's life together, their individual selves and the love they share for one another and their families. Highlights feature star signs, ancestral places, travel locations and quotes from loved ones.
The reception look is a quintessential Sant Elia gown and exudes Stephanie's fondness for pulling out all the stops when attending an event, especially as the theme for her wedding reception was Met Gala Black Tie. Featuring opulent hand-beaded tulle with tassel detailing and delicate crystal droplets.
The shape is a modern, draped event gown with nostalgic notes, taking inspiration from silver screen moments from the days of Sophia Loren and Marilyn Monroe. This is especially visible with the addition of a theatrical silk gazar off-shoulder cape.
