Our greatest source of inspiration when creating a bespoke bridal gown is our clients and their unequivocal beauty and uniqueness. This, along with the careful consideration of each bride's vision, is what brings together a finished couture design.
At the centre of today's bridal design in focus, you will find our eternal SANT ELIA Muse, Deana. Deana came to us with a very specific couture brief; to create a look that is both timeless and classic, that no one else has ever seen or worn before. With this front of mind, we created a truly inspired couture look that embodies our signature SANT ELIA aesthetic.
Deana’s gown featured a sheer, hand-draped asymmetric tulle neckline embellished with applique silk petals. The feature three dimensional floral lace used was exclusively designed by Sant Elia and created by our european fabric partners to emulate the textures of a wisteria in full bloom. Our muse recalls the creation of her neckline as one of her most cherished memories from her couture journey as it was a collaborative process between herself and our Creative Director, Stephanie.
For her ceremony skirt, we envisioned a show stopping a-line silhouette with a dramatic train, emulating a fresh yet theatrical take on bridal couture trends. We custom designed and produced the skirt’s fabric to feature individually sewn petals by our European partner artisans creating a texture only previously seen on runways and editorials.
When considering tones for Deana’s look, we worked with shades of warm whites and ivory to keep this texturally rich design timeless and crisp. The bride paired her look with SANT ELIA’s signature English tulle veil, a modern sentiment that perfectly complemented her classic couture look.
After the couple’s first dance, Deana removed her ceremony skirt to reveal her chic reception gown, perfectly fitted with a feature thigh-high split. This silhouette proved perfect for our muse to spend her night on the dance floor with her husband Matthew and their nearest and dearest. The bride styled this look with a SANT ELIA rose gold and ceramic floral headpiece to incorporate the motifs of her couture design.
Deana’s couture bridal look was a labour of love for the SANT ELIA team and we are so appreciative of the opportunity to create this once in a lifetime look. In honour of our muse, we have put a short visual diary together from her wedding day. Enjoy <3
